Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, SALT Contemporary Dance celebrates progression and upward evolution in dance. SALT showcases emerging voices in the field by engaging with rising choreographers from around the world to create original works with a company of classically-trained, artistically-versatile dancers. Through their outreach program, `Creative Escape`, the company teaches the next generation about mental health and physical wellness through movement. SALT shares these innovative works through concerts, master classes, festivals, and workshops to elevate the cultural vibrancy and diversity of their local community, as well as nationally. Touring Programs/ Video Links: Commissioned by UtahPresents, this evening length historical work features an original score and turns Ambrose Bierce`s `An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge` into a riveting dance adaptation with universal appeal. PAN SALT`s longest running and most popular production - a magical and inspiring reimagining of story of Peter Pan that allows local dancers the chance to perform alongside SALT professionals. SALT Rep Show This mixed-rep show features work from several renowned contemporary choreographers and showcases SALT`s versatility. Featuring everything from Broadway jazz to dance theatre, there is something for everyone in this show.
