Eisenhower Dance Detroit, Michigan`s premier contemporary dance company, is celebrating 30 years of performing exciting works by renowned choreographers such as David Parsons, Lar Lubovitch, Joshua Peugh, Ron de Jesus, and Gina Patterson, as well as the celebrated dances of Artistic Director Stephanie Pizzo. Pizzo brings an innovative new contemporary angle to the company`s repertoire with cutting edge touring programs such as ARC and The Light Show. Hailed as `dance that touches the soul` by Susan Hall-Balduf of the Detroit Free Press, Eisenhower Dance Detroit has made contemporary dance accessible throughout the USA, in addition to touring internationally in countries such as Russia, Israel, and Poland. Eisenhower Dance has received numerous grants and awards for its work including support from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Kresge Foundation, the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs, and many others to support their groundbreaking and impactful work.

ARC ARC tackles the issue of labels in society and leaves the audience wondering about what it means to overcome prejudice in order to reveal our true identities. Wrought with emotion and featuring an element of audience participation, this program explores how to free oneself of outside and inner judgements.

FEEL F|E|E|L delves into human connection and what it means to understand others around us. Eisenhower Dance Detroit`s soulful Motown works can be incorporated into this program as well, adding a bit of Detroit flair and history to any performance.

The Light Show The Light Show is an exhilarating evening of dance that pairs four choreographers with four lighting designers resulting in a visually-exciting production that is sure to captivate audiences.
