Based in Denver, Colorado, Kim Robards Dance is a classically athletic modern dance company serving the local community, as well as acting as an ambassador of Colorado culture while touring both nationally and internationally. Artistic Director Kim Robards has choreographed work and restaged her company`s repertory all over the United States and has received critical acclaim. Placing an emphasis on collaboration with other artists, Kim Robards Dance seeks artistically-interesting partnerships and has a long history of engaging with musicians and composers to create synergistic pieces that honor classical western dance traditions while remaining contemporary within the field of dance.
In addition to crowd-pleasing shows in proscenium spaces, the company engages in performing in alternative spaces such as galleries, museums, an airplane hangar, and even a castle.
Kim Robards Dance has graced the stages of prestigious venues in collaboration with Booking Dance Festival in Beijing during the Olympics, Edinburgh during the Fringe, and as a featured artist at Jazz at Lincoln Center.
