The National Ballet of Cuba is one of the most prestigious ballet companies in the world, and it holds an especially influential role within Cuban culture. Founded by renowned ballerina Alicia Alonso and under her careful direction, The National Ballet of Cuba rose to the forefront of the global dance community. With Principal dancer Viengsay Valdes now at the helm, she is continuing the company's legacy while breathing new life into classical repertoire. The ensemble actively tours domestically and internationally, garnering invitations to perform in Europe, Asia, and North America every year. The National Ballet of Cuba has been presented at renowned venues such as The Kennedy Center, Sadler's Wells, the Palais Garnier in Paris, and more, and has received critical acclaim for the dancers' prowess and artistic abilities.
